My Philosophy

The secret kisses, the laughter and smiles, the hugs and heartfelt looks. These are the little things that make my job so special. I love to capture these moments that otherwise would be gone, over in an instant and forgotten forever.

When the wedding is over and the memories begin to fade, it’s the photos that become more and more treasured. They are what you, your children and grandchildren will look back on as a record of the love and emotion of the most important of days.

As your wedding photographer, I capture the effort that has gone into every aspect of your wedding. I make you feel comfortable and at ease. Your day should be as fun and stress free as possible. I ensure I contribute to that and help to make your day perfect.

Before the day I like to meet up over a coffee or beer. It’s a great chance for me to get a feel for who you are and what you want from the day. You can tell me all about your wedding and all the ideas you might have. After this I research the venues in preparation. In the weeks leading up to the day, I visit the venues to ensure everything on the day runs as smooth as possible.

On the morning of your wedding, I ease into the photography. I start by capturing the scene and any little details, ensuring everyone feels comfortable with me around. From there I just go with the flow of the day, documenting everything as it happens. I become more like a guest, chatting and fitting in so I can get more relaxed and unobtrusive photos of everyone smiling and having fun. I’m happy to arrive as early as needed in the morning. In the evening I stay pretty late, usually calling it a day around 10.30-11pm but later if there are still great photos to take.

After your wedding, I get the photos edited and sent out as soon as I can. I create an online gallery to make it easy to share your photos with family and friends. Then I put the photos onto a USB stick and generally send that within 2 weeks of your wedding day. The photos are yours to print and share as you wish. I’m always happy to help out where I can with any editing or questions down the line too.
